The Story
Lodge & Lantern Construction is a boutique, family-owned construction company based in Sierra Madre, specialising in custom homes, high-end remodels, historic restorations, ADUs, and thoughtfully designed commercial spaces. Their work is detailed, hands-on, and grounded in a real appreciation for craftsmanship, natural materials, and spaces that feel warm, personal, and built to last.
For this project, I created both the branding and website from the ground up, giving Lodge & Lantern a presence that felt established from day one. The direction leaned into heritage, refinement, and a more couture-inspired level of detail, with references drawn from luxury houses and old-world emblems rather than typical construction branding.
The lantern became the hero of the identity, developed into a crest-style icon with a more illustrated, letterpress feel that gave the brand a sense of history and permanence. I paired this with a high-contrast sans serif wordmark, refined supporting typography, and a material-led palette of ash, sand, bisque, taupe, doe, and walnut to bring warmth, structure, and versatility across print and digital touchpoints.
On the website side, the goal was to translate all of that into something clear, polished, and easy to move through, while still feeling elevated and true to the brand. The end result gives Lodge & Lantern a stronger foundation to present their work, build trust with the right clients, and step into future projects with a presence that feels every bit as considered as the spaces they create.
